Welcome to my portfolio!
My name is Michael Richter, and as a dedicated software engineer, I am thrilled to share with you my projects, experience, and passion for technology.
About Me
I am a dedicated software engineer with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Central Florida. I currently work as a full-stack software engineer at CSX, where I focus on developing intermodal applications, including a real-time vehicle tracking website. In my role, I collaborate with engineers in an agile environment to plan, design, develop, test, and deploy changes, deepening my understanding of the software development lifecycle and CI/CD. This position has allowed me to gain further experience with new technologies and frameworks.
Throughout my academic career, I developed proficiency in several programming languages and built a strong foundation in web development, databases, and software engineering principles. Some of the notable courses I completed include Object-Oriented Programming, Processes of Software Development, Discrete Structures, and Artificial Intelligence.
I’ve also gained valuable experience through internships. At Amazon, I worked on the Automated Profitability Management team, where I designed and implemented features for negotiation data visualization, impacting over 10,000 vendors and 40% of Amazon sales. At CSX, during my internship, I contributed to the development of new features for the My Engineering Life team, gaining hands-on experience with full-stack development. In addition, I was able to lead the backend development for a intern cohort project to create an application to manage 1000+ company resources.
I’m excited to continue growing as a software engineer and look forward to contributing to impactful projects that leverage my skills and experience in both backend and frontend development.
